I believe with everything that is within me that prayer really changes things. My wife had to have surgery this past Wednesday. If they couldn't do the surgery laparascopically (not sure if that is really a word), they would have to make an incision to do the procedure. The doctor said if they had to do an incision she would have to stay overnight if not longer and the recovery time would be longer. So we prayed and others did too that she would be able to do the first option. My wife went in for surgery around 10:00am on Wednesday and we were on our way home at 1:00pm the same day. Her recovery is going great.
God answered our prayers. God comes through every single time. It's not always the way you expected, but He does come through. Don't ever overlook the miracle in your life when you pray for something and it happens. Too many times we pray for things and our prayers are answered then we say "Oh glad everything worked out ok." Instead, we should jump out of our skin because the God of the universe cares about you enough to not just listen but answer a prayer! Remember there are over six billion people on this planet and it blows my mind to think that He would care about the intricate details of our lives. Nothing really miraculous will happen in our lives, on the campus, or at CrossPoint until we pray. Break through occurs when God's people pray.
Some things God is teaching me
- Don't worry about things you have no control over instead pray
- God cares about the details of your life so let Him in on them
- God always comes through but don't get upset when it's not the way you wanted
